My Two Pence

I’m quite happy and proud to say that I passed my driving test today on the first attempt with on for minor faults for silly things which nerves and stupid misjudgement are responsible for. Regardless, I didn’t give a damn about the faults. I couldn’t stop smiling. It was like a five year old who has their birthday on Christmas day. It just has to be the best feeling ever right? Partly.

Call it preaching, call it immoral, call it criminal, call it whatever you want. I have no doubt someone will read this and disagree with my proposals, and they are entitled to disagree. If you do disagree, at least read what I am saying before commenting. Oh, and these rants will be a once in a while thing.

The legalisation of cannabis is a very political issue within the modern world. California recently proposed legalising cannabis in order to cut their financial deficit. The proposition was declined because a majority voted against it. However, the majority was only 500,000 people. That seems like a lot, but when 7 million voted, 500,000 is not that many. This shows that more and more people are considering and even agreeing that legalising cannabis is acceptable!

I have been busy lately, so sorry for the pretty shit intro to this Metal blog. I’ll put more effort into #2 hopefully! Either way, to make up for this, here is a small recontamination.

Mutiny Within is a new band (only formed this year) but is pretty good. They have an amazing vocalist in my opinion!  It’s not as heavy as bands such as Parkway Drive, but it is definitely worth a go if you like fast guitar riffs and clean vocals over screams.

In this update, I am going to enlighten you on Blizzcon 2010 and share some personal thoughts and opinions! Mostly speculation about what was hinted. Why? Because you never know!

Normally I want to cover multiple topics in these articles, but as Blizzcon is so huge, I feel it is better to just stick to that topic instead. It covers three topics anyway (Diablo, Starcraft and WoW).

Yay! I’m back! And I have a new format in mind! I plan to do at least 1 post a week, but I am aiming for two. Each post will cover one form of entertainment, so you won’t have music and gaming mixed. Unless the music relates to the game of course! Either way, lets kick things off with my opinion of Halo Reach!

Some of you may have noticed this blog died a few months back and I totally failed at meeting my deadline for content. There’s a reason though! (Isn’t there always?)

So basically, I got abducted by aliens…what’s that? you don’t believe me? Okay…

Now content was a bit slacky for a few weeks before the blog completely died, and this was due to me becoming quite busy (hell, I had to quit WoW…more or less). Unfortunately, I could not find time to update this blog, even when I wanted to.

My situation has relaxed slightly. Enough for me to bring a little bit of content back. Not daily content (yet) but I will aim for at least 2 relatively high quality posts a week and maybe a few link posts to what’s hot and so forth.

So yes, the plan is to revive this blog, but not immediately. Probably in a week or two. I’m currently talking with a couple of people to see if they would like to write content for this blog. If I get help from at least one other person then you can look forward to more frequent and stable content.

Either way, I already have a couple of posts in the works and have some plans. I won’t share details or anything right now. Surprises are fun after all!

I also have plans relating to content. I am looking to extend the sort of topics we have in the future. I am also considering having dedicated pages for certain topics, and using this page for major updates/announcements/awesome news. This way I can offer a wide variety of content without alienating anyone.

If you don’t like the idea then let me know, so I can tell you to bugger off! (Just kidding, you’re feedback is appreciated). Alternatively, if you really like the idea then let me know as well!

Okay, maybe ruined is the wrong word to use. Changed is much more fitting. But is it change for the better? In my personal opinion, yes. You see, I am in foster care, and my foster carers are a good 60 years old. This means I quite often hear them ramble on about “the good old days”. You know, the days when you had to walk outside to the outhouse at the bottom of the garden in the middle of a cold December night if you wanted to take a shit. The days when you were grateful for food, no matter how terrible it was and how badly it was prepared. The days before the internet. Yeah, sounds glorious….no really.

Pokémon is old now, as I have previously mentioned. Yet somehow, it has maintained a large audience. However, the audience itself has changed quite a bit, and a lot of people playng Pokémon these days do not remember the “old days” of Gold and Silver. Red and Blue/Green were revived in Generation three, which gave the younger audience to experience the old games, and the older audience to replay those games with new technology (Colour!).

Luckily though, GameFreak and Nintendo decided to revive Gold and Silver too! And do you know what? Heart Gold and Soul Silver are the best Pokémon games of all time.

So yeah, unfortunately I’ve been incredibly busy over the past few weeks, as I have mentioned already. Now those of you looking back on my previous articles will notice everything I “promised” for June.

Well, sorry to say, but there’s no way I can write all of those articles over the next couple of days. However, I WILL get them done before July 20th. In fact, I am looking at writing two or three articles this Wednesday (30th June).

So yeah, accept my apology and hopefully this won’t happen again. June has bee a rather busy month for me and I had to put the blog on a temporary hold (perfect timing for E3 eh?) until things got a little less crazy…

Just a word of warning though. I expect August could (depends on a lot) be another crazy month, and as such I will try not to promise too much like I did for this month.
